She made it through the surgery fine
They said they caught it just in time
But they had to take more than they planned
Now it's forced smiles and baggy shirts
To hide what the cancer took from her

This song really hits home for me. My mom passed away thirteen years ago when I was five years old. She had cancer in her stomach that was unknown.

 

I was young when it happened, but I remember the day like it happened yesterday.. I was at my great grandmothers house in houston texas when we got a phone call. my dad answered the phone and started crying.. they waited a couple hours to tell me what had happened.

 

the surgery to remove the cancer went successfully but the doctor did not put her in the appropriate steps for her recovery. instead of putting her in a room for nurses to watch over her and make sure everything is going right he put her in a room where the elderly people go to sleep... she never woke up.

 

that was the worst day of my life. i would do anything in the world to have my mom back in my life.. to get to do all the things that mothers and daughters get to do together. my friends moms have always treated me like one of their daughters but nothing can compare to how great it would be to get to go prom dress shopping with my mom or cry to her when something hurt my feelings...

 

i miss her more than anything in the world.

This quote sums up a lot. Life is too short to have regrets, stay mad any longer than necessary, or fear things.
"Life is short, live it." You don't get to live forever, so you should "Live life to the fullest" and do what you want to do. Never stop and think, just act. you could pass something amazing up in life and wonder what could have happened if you had done it.
"Love is rare, grab it." You have a full life to love. You could end up loving 5 people in your lifetime till you find the right person. Never regret who you love either, because at one point it was the best thing in the world!!!!! Love hard and never back down. You will find the right person for you, and when it comes "GRAB IT" and never let go.
"Anger is bad, dump it." Its never good to be angry all the time. For one you can recieve major frown lines and look bad when you get older!!! But anyways its not good to be angry. You should always be happy with life. Maybe something could happen that makes you angry but remember that something wonderful could happen later!!!
"Fear is awful, face it" I have to say that i don't think i will ever face my biggest fear. Which is SPIDERS! I know it will be hard to overcome if i try to get over it. But other things, never fear to love and never fear to live life how you want to, because in the end it was your choice and what you wanted to do!!
"Memories are sweet, cherish them." I have had the best memories with my friends and family, the people i love the most. I will never want to forget them. Harleigh is my best friend. She has been there for me and i love her for that! She will always be my best friend!!

I love this movie and i love this quote from the movie.. Im not really in to all the love movies because they pretty much bore me, but this is one of my favorite movies. Its a comedy but is full of sappy romance and love.

Two sisters, one preppy and the other a "loner", attend high school together. when a new boy arrives at school he lays eyes on the preppy sister and falls in love with her.. she isnt really interested in him at first but he doesnt slack off. prom is coming up for the sisters but their father will not let the preppy sister go unless the "loner" goes. the new boy ends up paying another guy to start dating the "loner" and get her to go to prom with him so that the new guy can take the preppy one. the "loner" takes a chance with the guy and ends up falling in love with him and vice versa.. everything is going smoothly until prom night... the "loner" finds out about the whole situation and is crushed... and like all the other love movies they fight and get back together!

its a pretty good movie and definitely worht watching!

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is my favorie TV series. you can judge me or think im weird, whatever you would like. im a weirdo and something about people fighting zombies is funny and entertaining to me.
The Walking Dead comes on every Sunday on AMC. it is about a group of people trying to survive in a dangerous world full of zombies like every other zombie movie. a former sheriff, Rick, is the leader of a medium sized group of about 10 people. they live in a mobile home on the interstate for awhile when a group of "walkers" come their way and they lose a little girl, Sophia, when she runs in the woods from a walker. the group spends weeks looking for Sophia when they come across a farm that is isolated from the overrun cities of walkers. the farm is not abandoned though. Hershal, the owner of the farm, tentatively lets ricks group stay. every thing is looking up for them when they found the farm except when they find out that the barn is full of walkers. hershal thinks that he can find a cure for them so they save every walker that passes through his land. the two groups dispute about the situation and things unfold. a member from ricks group loses it and breaks the barn doors down and shoots every walker in the barn including Sophia.
there is many other fun and surprising things that happen in the series.
there isnt anything special about this series or anything that is different from other zombie movies. but i look forward to every sunday to see what will happen next. it is kind of suspensful maybe even a little intense sometimes but mostly funny.

Burlesque

Burlesque is one of my favorite movies. Here is the definition of the word burlesque as found on Wikipedia. Beginning in the early 18^th century the term burlesque was used throughout Europe to describe musical works in which serious and comic elements were juxtaposed or combined to achieve a grotesque effect. Burlesque is the epitome of perfection :) Burlesque is about a girl from Iowa who moves to the big city of Los Angeles with the hopes of becoming a singer/dancer. she comes across a club with the "best view" on sunset strip called Burlesque. with as little luck as a mustard seed she starts out as a waitress in the club. she finally gets a chance to audition to be one of the dancers and gains a spot. she tries her best to fit in with the L.A. girls, but does not succeed for a while. she then gets a chance to prove her self as a dancer when a jealous co-worker tries to embarrass her on stage but the complete opposite happens. she finishes her dance along with her singing the song. the crowd goes wild along with the club owner. and of course like most all other movies, there is a love life happening with the small town girl and a bar tender from the club.
burlesque is not a special movie made to show a significant past like the titanic or anything. it is just a movie that makes me :D! i am a fan of dancing and burlesque captures dance to a "T".
